So far, I’ve defined the terms sex, male and female, and discussed propagated stereotypes. This post deals with sexual preference.
Sexual preference is independent of one’s gender or sex. This split is difficult for many to comprehend. Most have hang-ups that a particular sex can have only one sexual preference. Most believe the otherwise behavior is abnormal.
There is nothing wrong with any person’s sexual preference. Some sexual preferences are illegal to act upon, especially those that take advantage of minors or are without the other party’s or parties’ consent.
Preferences range from male to female to both to children to animals. Whatever gets one off is that person’s preference. So, don’t condemn someone for desires that don’t harm another.
There is no physical contact between two or more consenting adults that should be considered abnormal. They may not be safe.
The Trevor Bauer story is an example of two consenting adults doing less than safe activities. In their second encounter, they did discuss a safe word. As a follow-up, Mr. Bauer was not prosecuted.
Interesting, famous transwoman Caitlyn Jenner’s current partner is female. The 71-year-old Jenner wants to raise a child with her as a mother. No articles discuss their intimate relations or their sexual preferences. Those were confusing sentences, as who is her?
So, is Jenner a transwoman with the same sexual preference as me interested in women?
If you don’t match my sexual preference, don’t condemn me for turning you down. I’m flattered, but no, thank you. There are plenty of women out there that give me the same response.
We should not try to change someone’s sexual preference. It’s them.
Your sexual preference should not define your gender or sex. If we don’t tie sexual preference to gender or biological sex, people may not need to change their gender or sex to meet the expected norms.
