Saucony Endorphin Speed 2

Sharing is caring!

I bought my second pair of Saucony Endorphin Speed 2 shoes in early February. I’ve used them for over 80 miles, including two 18 mile runs.

I’ve run 550 miles in the first pair I bought in August 2021, including a marathon and the final 35 miles of JFK.

They are cushioned neutral shoes with a semi-curved last and no posting. I’m using them as my primary shoe even though they are lighter in weight than my typical long run shoe.

Out of the box, they are a bit stiff. Until broken in, I get slight scuffing.

I need a flexible shoe that can bend the toe to the heel. These shoes fit that description and, over time, have become more flexible.

At first thought, the shoe would be too lightweight to hold up during long runs. They retain their bounce, and my feet don’t feel sore from my foot strike.

With the low weight, they a usable in my short, fast races. If I did not vary my shoes from day to day, I could use these shoes for any run.

I can feel the difference between my new pair and those with 500 miles. However, if I didn’t know my first pair had 500 miles on them, I would still use them. For now, they are my rain shoes.

I cannot see the wear pattern on the outsole. Though I don’t have any foot pain, I may be under pronating.
