Working with my personal trainer, physical therapist daughter, I’m not going to run for another week. I’ll keep walking, stretching, and strength training daily.
Last Thursday, I was able to run 6 miles before having issues, and Sunday, it was 3 miles. So, the rest, heat, and compression are healing. I’ll see what a week without running will do.
This morning instead of a 20-mile long run, I walked 11 miles. At my walking pace of 15 minutes per mile, 50 km will take just under 8 hours and 50 miles just under 13 hours.
It was a beautiful summer morning with a 60-degree dew point. I hardly broke a sweat.
My time this morning was within 30 seconds of my walk on the same course 14 days ago.
