I get a lot of computers calling my landline, probably 5 to 10 a day.
I get all of the scam calls, my Social Security Number has been canceled, I owe money to the IRS and there is a warrant out for my arrest. I was told I had a virus (not COVID) on my computer. But, they could not tell which computer. And, there are the fund raisers.
Since I no longer need to use my phone number as a business line, I changed my outgoing message to try and weed out the computers from the humans.
Since going to this message, I’ve only had one computer go to the end and leave a message. I found out that if you talk for about 15 seconds, the computers will hang up. The one that left a message was a political ad, that was not expecting a response.
With my voice recorder, humans are pushed to a separate mail box with messages I can review easily.
