I’ve owned my 2021 Toyota Corolla for six months and took it in for my first recommended service to Sheehy Toyota of Fredericksburg on January 18, 2022. The entire process from appointment to completion went smoothly.
Recommended maintenance for this model is every 5000 miles or six months. Before Christmas, I started getting messages on my onboard display that service would be required soon. At that point, I had driven about 4800 miles.
I did not want to schedule service during the holidays and knew I had more time and miles. Just before New Year, I hit 5000 miles. I was planning to contact Sheehy the following Monday. A small winter storm and other issues prevented me from making that call.
During the downtime from the winter storm, I received a text from Sheehy reminding me to make an appointment for my 5000-mile service. I waited for my restored internet, and via their website, I made my service appointment for 8 am on the 18th.
Their website was easy to navigate and did not ask me any unnecessary questions.
Upon arrival, the service rep, Teddie Young, was able to pull up my appointment and what I asked to have done. She gave me a time frame to complete the work as 60 to 90 minutes.
I headed out for my morning run from Sheehy, onto Lafayette Blvd, through Braehead Woods, to Lee Drive and the Circle of Friends. On the way back, I cut through Confederate Ridge to Emancipation Highway. I ran for a little more than an hour. Overnight, freezing temperatures created many black ice patches on the roadways. With temperatures still below freezing, there were a few hazards to avoid.
They let me pull my bag from my back seat, and I changed into some dry clothes.
I had to wait a little while until about 9:40 am when my car was ready.
They delivered what they promised.
