Long Run June 24, 2021

Sharing is caring!

I got out early last Thursday for my 16-mile long run.

At 6:30 am, it was cold for June 24 with a dew point of 48 and temps in the low 50s. For the first half-hour, I wore gloves. Can we get a repeat of this weather for our summer races?

I ran my Belmont Ferry Farm Trail, Falmouth Bridge, Heritage Trail Loop, followed by an out and back on the Belmont Ferry Farm Trail to River Road.

The last miles were as fresh as the beginning.

About 50 meters from the end, I felt something twinge in my right groin muscle. It’s another unexplained pain. Usually, this muscle gets hurt when running fast or not in a straight line. I wasn’t doing either.
